Domaines d'activité

AMEC SPIE is a major player in five main markets:

  • Energy
AMEC SPIE operates in three main energy markets: electricity, oil and gas, nuclear power. AMEC SPIE has reinforced its international presence in the oil and gas sector in 2003 by acquiring Ipedex after the previous buying of Foraid. From now on AMEC SPIE has, in this sector, a network of locations in Africa, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
  • Communication systems
A leading network and telecommunication service provider in France, AMEC SPIE, through its subsidiary AMEC SPIE Communications is a top-tier voice-data service provider with continuously enhanced services and solutions.
  • Industry
AMEC SPIE offers itself as a partner to industrial customers, supporting them throughout the life cycle of their investments. Thanks to its extensive knowledge of processes AMEC SPIE participates to the optimization of the cost of their installations. From petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and automobiles to agribusiness, steelmaking and manufacturing… AMEC SPIE regional multi-technical services subsidiaries are locally committed to their customers' core businesses and implement global operating solutions.
  • Rail Infrastructure
AMEC SPIE participates to the development of big transportation infrastructure in Europe and abroad through its project activities and its specialist activities supported by AMEC SPIE Rail.
  • Commercial sector
From construction to the enhancement of property assets, AMEC SPIE offers a broad mix of technologies and value-added services, which can include comprehensive management of buildings and related facilities, ranging from major office buildings to hospitals.

Our sustainable approach means that we recognize that our success does not just depend on our ability to create value for our shareholder. We also have to develop our employees, innovate, offer quality services, and manage the direct and indirect impact of our activities on the environment. In 2003, we created a dedicated Sustainable Development Department to deliver against these commitments.
For example, in 2003, we finalized the ISO 9001: 2000 certification process for all of our operating units. We continue to drive further improvement and have also undertaken an ambitious ISO 14001 environmental certification program for all units, which will be completed in early 2005.

Présence à l'étranger

With operations in a large number of European countries, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Portugal and Spain and projects managed around the world, AMEC SPIE has implemented a decentralized organization that enables us to establish privileged relationships with customers, based on understanding and dialogue. Europe has become AMEC SPIE's home market, as it accounted for 85% of its turnover in 2003. Its regional multi-technical services subsidiaries and its specialist services subsidiaries form a network of more than 300 locations.
